A machine with the largest headline capacity is not automatically the better purchase. Choose the closest match for your shop
Start with the card that sounds most like the work you do. These are starting points, not fixed packages: the exact wheel and tire sizes, centering hardware, air supply and power requirements still need to match your shop.

The KT-B700 is a conventional computerized balancer that can make sense beside it for ordinary passenger work. For a conventional rim-clamp shop, compare Atlas and Weaver before jumping to premium equipment

For difficult tires, the machine design matters more than the biggest rim number
Shops that routinely handle stiff low-profile tires, run-flats or expensive performance wheels should compare machines built around more controlled bead and sidewall handling. They use different approaches—leverless, center-clamp, hydraulic control and automation—but the common reason to consider them is the work they are designed to make easier and more repeatable.
Do not reduce this choice to “assist arm = run-flat capable.” Manufacturer support for the exact machine and configuration matters. If a conventional rim-clamp machine with an assist arm covers your tire mix, it may be the more sensible purchase; if difficult tires are the daily workload, the additional control and automation of a premium machine can be the more relevant difference.
For balancing, decide whether you need speed, centering help or diagnostics
A basic computerized spin balancer and a road-force diagnostic machine solve different problems. A lower-cost balancer can be completely adequate when the shop mainly needs static/dynamic balancing and the wheel assemblies fit its shaft, cones and published weight range. The Weaver W-M807X is a useful dedicated reference point because its current page explicitly ties a 6–24 inch clamping range, 38.5-inch maximum tire diameter, 13-inch maximum tire width and tall protected clamps to motorcycle and ATV work. That is stronger evidence than taking a passenger-car changer with a small enough numerical clamp range and assuming brake-disc, sprocket and narrow-wheel clearances will work.
Automotive changers can still be a good mixed-use choice when the manufacturer publishes an exact motorcycle or ATV adapter.
